Online Groups
Groups play an important part in therapy, for all ages, and for different reasons. Group, versus individual therapy, provides feedback and support from other individuals that are your peers. It is sometimes easier to connect, open up, and relate when there are multiple people shaking their heads or acknowledging they’ve experienced a similar situation.
You know, it’s like when you have a thought in your head, but you are afraid to say it out loud because maybe someone will think you’re weird or strange. It’s just then that another group member says exactly what you’ve been thinking, and you have that AHA moment of being able to connect, really feel seen and understood. It is then that you open up and share you’ve experienced that same thing. And that’s when connections, relationships and growth takes place.
So, whether you’re a teen trying to figure out where you fit in, a young adult who is exploring what it’s like to be independent, or an adult grappling with life transitions, we have a group for you. Take a look at our group descriptions and see where you would start making your connections.
Teen Girls Group – 15-17 years old:
Sometimes it’s a struggle to speak up in a group of friends because you’re afraid you’ll be judged for what you say. Or you sometimes wonder if what you say really matters to others. You have a bunch of friends but really don’t feel like you fit in somewhere. And then there’s the anxiety of “Am I enough?”
Come join our group where you will learn to be able to confidently express your thoughts and feelings, and know that what you have to offer really does make a difference. In our online group, you will engage in different activities and projects to help you build that confidence within and shine both inside and out.

College Aged Students Group – Young Adults 18-22 years old
Right now with being so isolated it’s tough to make connections and explore the independence you were always looking forwards to having. You might be feeling sad, frustrated, angry, anxious, or any number of emotions. There might be some fear and anxiety of feeling stuck and not knowing how to handle it.
Every Friday at 9:00 am, Jade Dearing, will be leading a group online that is just for you! Connect with Jade to find out more about the group and how you can meet some new people experiencing similar feelings, and ways to be able to cope during this phase that you’re having to endure.
