Crisis Text Line – text Start to 741-741

  • Every person is connected with a Crisis Counselor via text message who is trained to bring a person from a hot moment to a cool calm moment through active listening and collaborative problem solving. All of Crisis Text Line’s Crisis Counselors are volunteers, donating their time to helping people in crisis.

  • Founded by Francine Shapiro in 1990. EMDR Institute provides workshops/conferences in order to become trained in EMDR. Also, a great resource to learn what EMDR is, and how it works.

  • International organization of EMDR which works to advance the education, practice, and science of EMDR therapy.

Give An Hour – www.giveanhour.org

  • Provide services for at-risk populations and other groups in need that can benefit from our model of delivering services through a network of volunteer professionals. Since 2005 we have focused on providing free mental health care to active duty, National Guard and Reserve service members, veterans, and their families. In 2016, we began expanding our efforts to address the mental health needs of other populations.
