Jade Dearing, MS, AMFT

Unresolved trauma can cause feelings of worthlessness, fear, worry, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression that inevitably interrupt the quality of your life.  These feelings can become a normal part of your day and be the source of unnecessary suffering in your relationships and professional life.  The unresolved trauma reveals itself in many symptoms of dysfunctional behaviors including addiction, problems in relationships, the inability to socialize and connect with others, as well as many other behaviors.

Before becoming a mental health care provider, I, too, struggled with these feelings in every aspect of my life.  As I worked in therapy to discover the dysfunctional behavior and its origins, I realized it was due to my underlying and unresolved traumas.  Through my own healing process, I realized a passion and purpose for my life to help others uncover their underlying traumas and guide them towards a more functional, fulfilling, and happy existence.

I have years of experience and training which includes working in a county mental health setting as a part of a triage team of psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, doctors, case managers, and other therapists working together to provide mental health support to those in desperate need of services.  In addition, I have several years of experience in substance abuse in-patient treatment as a primary therapist. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing and breath work healing.

Let’s begin your healing journey together!

“Trauma is a fact of life.  It does not, however, have to be a life sentence.”
